What to expect before you hire anyone

How Our Network Works for Homeowners

Who will you talk to?

Good question. You will speak with an independent tree provider in our network. These are local businesses, not employees of Directorlab Tree Service. We stay out of the way once you are connected, so you can talk about your own yard in your own words.

What happens when you reach out?

It is simple. You call or send an estimate request. You share what you can: the type of tree, how close it is to the house, and anything that looks risky. Then a provider that serves Pittsburgh or nearby follows up.

Request a callback to check provider availability. Some providers can respond quickly, and others book out further. That depends on the season and the weather.

What should you ask a provider?

First time hiring for tree work? Keep this list handy.

  • Do you carry the licenses and insurance required where I live? Can I see proof?
  • Will I get a written quote that lists everything?
  • Does the price include cleanup and hauling the wood?
  • Is stump grinding included, or priced on its own?
  • How will you protect my roof, lawn, fence, and pipes?
  • What should I do after the work to keep the yard healthy?

That last one matters. Think past the cut. A provider who talks about pruning other trees, soil care, and storm prep is thinking like a neighbor.

Are you in control?

Yes. You choose whether to hire. You can compare quotes. You can say no. A request does not lock you into anything, and there is no obligation.

If the tree is on a house or power line, stay clear and keep others away. Then reach out for emergency tree removal help.

Ready to talk to a provider?

Tell us about the tree and the yard. A local provider can take it from there.
